It’s pageant season!!
I am delighted to be invited to judge the candidates of the NSW National Final of Miss Grand Australia TODAY with my “Sisters of the Sash.” ☀️
In the presence of many talented, vivacious young ladies… I can’t wait to see who will (most importantly) represent a charity dedicated to seeing the end of war & violence.
My Model Tips
+ Is it right? | See if the Miss Grand Australia platform is right for you. Check out their website here for consideration.
+ How to enter | WILD CARD entries still open (all Australian states). Please get in touch with the Miss Grand Australia National Director Dani Fitch for more information.
+ Judge for yourself | See who you’re up against. Check out the lineup here: 2018 Candidates.
+ Smile! | I know it can be quite daunting strutting your stuff on the runway or sitting in front of a judging panel – though we want you to succeed – and also believe that you’re loving what you do and what you stand for / believe in.
+ Get comfortable with being uncomfortable | Most young ladies focus their efforts a lot more on presentation (hair, makeup, nails, outfits, etc) though an equal amount of focus needs to be on your presentation. How good are you on stage with a microphone? Ultimately the winner will be representing their country – and more importantly – their chosen charity, and your VOICE, passion and conviction in supporting this is what is most important.
+ Winners are prepared | Up-skilling is a must for those who take winning the crown seriously. For pageant coaching I can highly recommend Peter Sereno (aka Dear Pageant Girl). Reach out for his current rates & availability.
